Chainman Shale

On the south side of the Bishop Springs Anticline the Jensen Member, Mcj, of the Chainman Shale is exposed. Fossils of the Paracravenoceras barnettense fauna, Pb, and the "Eosyngastrioceras" hesperium, Eh, fauna occur here. The two ridges in the background are the Chevron Ridge composed of the Permian, Pennsylvanian, Mississippian Ely Limestone, PMe. And the lighter Plympton Ridge, composed of Permian, Pu, age rocks.
